AVE CHESS z.s. is an experienced Czech chess organization that manages international tournaments, multi-event festivals, and major championship programs across the Czech Republic. Its official registered contact address is in Prague, while many of its largest events take place in Pardubice and other Czech cities. The organization works with national and international chess authorities, local partners, venues, arbiters, accommodation providers, and municipal institutions. Through this network, AVE CHESS delivers competitions for professional players, titled players, club competitors, juniors, seniors, teams, and amateur participants. International Organizer Dr. Jan Mazuch serves as the organization’s principal tournament director and contact person.

🏆 Czech Tour and International Chess Festivals

AVE CHESS organizes the Czech Tour, a national series of international chess festivals that has operated since 2001. The circuit runs throughout the year and brings rated competition to several attractive destinations across the Czech Republic. Its established events include the Prague Open, Marienbad Open, Pilsen Open, Summer Prague Open, Olomouc Chess Summer, Brno Open, Hradec Králové Open, and other recurring festivals. Most programs feature at least one classical tournament open to all eligible participants. In addition, selected festivals include rapid chess, blitz, team competitions, closed round-robin groups, and tournaments that provide opportunities to pursue international title norms. The series also allows players and accompanying guests to combine competitive chess with travel and tourism.

🌍 Czech Open and Major Championships

The organization is closely associated with the Czech Open, a major international chess and games festival held in Pardubice. Its extensive program includes several classical sections, rapid and blitz competitions, team events, junior tournaments, and additional mind sports. AVE CHESS manages registrations, tournament schedules, accommodation arrangements, venue coordination, technical operations, participant communication, and cooperation with arbiters and international federations. Its organizational portfolio also includes official European and world-level competitions. For example, AVE CHESS is part of the organizing structure for the 2026 European Youth Team Chess Championship U12 and U18 in Pardubice. This combination of recurring open festivals and major international championships has made AVE CHESS an important tournament organizer within Czech and European chess.
