The standard GM and IM sections use 10-player round robins with nine rounds. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the remainder, with a 30-second increment from move one. The schedule normally fits nine games into eight days with one double-round day. Alongside the title-norm groups, First Saturday also offers U2250 FIDE-rated tournaments.
