The II Torneo de Verano en Fresnedillas is scheduled from September 1–18, 2026 in Fresnedillas de la Oliva. The competition is officially registered with the Spanish Chess Federation for FIDE Standard rating. Games use a classical time control of 60 minutes + 30 seconds per move. This format distinguishes the summer tournament from the club’s shorter rapid and community events and gives participants an opportunity to play internationally rated classical chess locally. The tournament follows the inaugural Torneo de Verano held in 2025 and confirms the club’s expansion into regular FIDE-rated competition. Consequently, Fresnedillas now combines its traditional community tournaments with both regional team chess and internationally rated individual events. Roberto González Galeano remains the principal organizational contact for the club’s competitions.
