A.S.D. Circolo Scacchistico Feltrino L’Avamposto is a chess club and nonprofit sports association based in Feltre, in the province of Belluno, Italy. The association was founded in January 2019 by a group of local chess enthusiasts who wanted to rebuild and expand organized chess activity in Feltre and the surrounding area. The club is officially affiliated with the Federazione Scacchistica Italiana. Its main objective is to promote chess among players of different ages and experience levels. Circolo Scacchistico Feltrino L’Avamposto operates from the Casa delle Associazioni in Feltre. The club welcomes members and visitors on Saturdays from 15:00 to 18:00. One of its most established projects is the International Open “La Birreria Pedavena.” The tournament brings players to Pedavena for classical chess at the historic Birreria Pedavena venue. Over successive editions, the event has become a regular part of the regional chess program. The club co-organizes the 14th International Open “La Birreria Pedavena” 2026 with A.S.D. Circolo Scacchistico Bellunese. The competition takes place from July 22 to 24, 2026, and includes two FIDE-rated sections. Through this cooperation, the two associations provide competitive opportunities for experienced players, developing club members, junior competitors, and visiting participants. Overall, A.S.D. Circolo Scacchistico Feltrino L’Avamposto combines regular club activity, chess education, school engagement, cultural initiatives, and tournament organization. Its work continues to strengthen the chess community in Feltre and across the wider Belluno area.
