For 2026, the club scheduled the VI Torneo Blitz Nocturno Dragones-Playitas – IV Memorial Pedro Calero for September 25. The tournament uses nine Swiss rounds at 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move and counts for FIDE blitz rating. Henar Villa García serves as Tournament Director, while IA Pablo A. Arranz Martín is Chief Arbiter. A VI Torneo Activo Dragones-Playitas had also been scheduled for September 26–27, 2026. However, the official Chess-Results record was updated in July to mark that rapid tournament as canceled. Therefore, the nocturnal blitz is the currently confirmed Dragones-Playitas competition for September 2026.
