Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH organizes the Offene Internationale Bayerische Schachmeisterschaft, also known as the OIBM am Tegernsee. The tournament brings players from Germany and other countries to Gmund am Tegernsee for FIDE-rated classical chess. The official tournament website identifies the company as the tournament host.

The 29th OIBM takes place from October 31 to November 8, 2026. It uses a 9-round Swiss-system format. Each player receives 90 minutes for 40 moves and 30 minutes for the remaining moves. A 30-second increment applies from move one. The published prize fund is approximately €15,000.

The company also co-organizes the International Schach-Senioren-Cup am Tegernsee with the Municipality of Bad Wiessee. The 14th edition took place from April 18 to 26, 2026, at the Seeforum Rottach-Egern. Peter Rie and Emily Grigoleit handled the overall organization and tournament management.
