ATMEN Open Desko Liberec 2026 will take place from July 25 to August 1, 2026, in Liberec, Czech Republic. TJ Desko Liberec, z. s. organizes this international open chess tournament.

The main tournament uses a 9-round Swiss system. Each player receives 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move throughout the game.

The default time is 60 minutes. Therefore, competitors should arrive before each round starts and be ready at the board.

Special Prizes from 11th Place Onward

A special prize category applies only when at least three players qualify for that category from 11th place onward.

To receive a special prize, a player must complete at least 7 rounds. Default wins count toward this requirement, but default losses do not count.

The tournament starts on Saturday, July 25, with player check-in, the opening ceremony, and Round 1.

Sunday includes two classical rounds. After that, most main tournament rounds start at 4:00 PM.

Meanwhile, the side events take place in the morning on July 28 and July 30. This schedule gives players time for both the main tournament and additional chess activities.

Players may cancel lunches without penalty until July 18, 2026. In addition, entry fee cancellation remains possible without penalty until the end of check-in on July 25 at 2:00 PM.

The organizer will send refunded payments within 20 days after the event to the original payment account.

By registering, players or their legal representatives consent to the processing of data needed for rating, results presentation, and tournament administration. They also consent to the creation and use of audiovisual materials for organizer and sponsor purposes.
