XVI Internacional Ciudad de Eivissa 2026 takes place April 30-May 3, 2026 in Eivissa (Ibiza), Spain, and it combines two FIDE-rated classical IRT groups with a Friday-night blitz side event in a beachside hotel setting. The festival runs at Hotel Vibra Algarb in Playa d’en Bossa, with the playing room in Sala Wanda near the beach and an analysis area in the cafeteria next to the hall. The format suits competitive players who want serious long-play games in a compact long-weekend schedule and a clear structure by rating group.
The event offers a €3,000 total cash prize pool across the classical IRT and the Blitz Nocturno, and it enforces simple prize conditions that keep categories fair. The organizers cap the classical field, manage entries by email with bank-transfer confirmation, and publish fixed round times for all six classical rounds. You can request limited early-round byes, and you can add the blitz event for an extra rated challenge late on Friday.
