Wrocław Open – Adolf Anderssen Chess Festival
The Wrocław Open – Adolf Anderssen Chess Festival 2025 welcomes chess players of all ages and levels to an exciting week of tournaments in the historic city of Wrocław, Poland. Organizers celebrate the legacy of Adolf Anderssen by hosting a rich festival program featuring classical, rapid, blitz, and Chess960 formats in a vibrant cultural setting.

The festival will run from August 2 to August 10, 2025.
⏱️ Time Control
Organizers will apply various time controls based on tournament type:
- Adolf Anderssen Memorial: 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment
- Polish Open Chess960 Championship: 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment
- Wrocław OPEN A, B, C, SENIOR OPEN: 90 minutes for 40 moves + 15 minutes to finish, with 30 seconds per move from move one
- Group E (“Second Step”): 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment
- Group F (“First Step”): 20 minutes + 10 seconds increment
- Anderssen Evening Blitz: 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment

📝 Registration and Participation
Participants must register by August 2 for the Adolf Anderssen Memorial and by August 3 for other events. Organizers accept players of all ratings and ages across different tournament groups. Early registration secures a place in preferred groups and accommodations.

📍 Venue Information
Main events will take place at the Center for Young Culture and Local Initiatives CZASOPRZESTRZEŃ, located at Tramwajowa 1-3, 51-621 Wrocław. Groups E and F will play at Sports Club AZS Wratislavia Wrocław, on Na Grobli Street 30-32.

✈️ Travel and Accommodation
Wrocław offers easy access via the Wrocław–Copernicus Airport and excellent rail and bus connections. Organizers provide accommodation at modern university dormitories less than 1 km from the venue. These lodgings include Wi-Fi, shared kitchens, and renovated rooms ideal for players and families.
