The Kazakhstan Chess Federation was founded at the beginning of Kazakhstan’s independence.
Its main goal is to popularize chess in Kazakhstan, participation of leading athletes and teams in international competitions, and promotion of a healthy lifestyle. The Federation operates in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law “On Public Associations”, the Charter, and other legislative acts.
The Federation is actively working in the following areas:
- Development and mass popularization of chess in Kazakhstan,
- Creation of technical base, practical and methodological assistance in the creation of chess clubs,
- Promotion and development of chess among children and youth,
- Conducting competitions,
- Ensuring the participation of the national team of Kazakhstan in international tournaments (World Championship, World Cup, Asian Championship, etc.).
