⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

Open A and Open B both use a 7-round Swiss system with a full classical rhythm. Each player receives 90 minutes for the game, and the clock adds 30 seconds from move one. As a result, the event gives players serious long-play games across five days.

Meanwhile, the Lisieux Kids’Open uses a faster but still substantial format at 50 minutes plus 10 seconds. The blitz then closes the fast-chess part of the festival on Monday evening with 9 rounds at 3+2 and a pizza break in the middle of the session.

🗓️ Schedule

Registration runs through the HelloAsso event page. Adult entry for Open A and Open B is EUR 60, while youth entry is EUR 30. The blitz costs EUR 15 as a standalone entry, or EUR 10 when added to an Open A or Open B registration. The Kids’Open costs EUR 15. In addition, women can use the code FEM for a EUR 10 reduction in Open A or Open B, and returning 2025 players can use FIDELE for a EUR 5 reduction outside the blitz and Kids’Open.
