The Open Bohumín 2025 returns as a prestigious international chess festival hosted in the vibrant town of Bohumín. Organized by ŠŠ Bohumín and SK Slavia Orlová, this FIDE-rated event offers multiple tournament formats for players of all ages and strengths. From master-level classical games to junior rapid and blitz competitions, participants will enjoy a well-organized, competitive, and family-friendly chess experience in the heart of the Moravian-Silesian region.

- June 28, 2025 (Saturday): Arrival and check-in
- June 29 – July 6, 2025: Classical tournaments Group A (Master), Group B (Challenger), and Group C (U14 Memorial)
- July 3, 2025 (Thursday): Rapid U12 & U16 (7 rounds)
- July 5, 2025 (Saturday): Rapid Open + team classification (7 rounds)
- July 7, 2025 (Monday): Blitz Tournament – Ivan Jankovec Memorial (11 rounds)
Organizers will hold opening and closing ceremonies on the first and last days of the festival respectively.

Group A – Master (≥1900 FIDE): 9-round Swiss, 90 min + 30 sec increment per move
Group B – Challenger (≤2000 FIDE): 9-round Swiss, 90 min + 30 sec increment per move
Group C – U14 Lukáš Krůl Memorial: 9-round Swiss, 90 min + 30 sec increment per move
Rapid U12 & U16: 7-round Swiss, 13 min + 2 sec increment
Rapid Open + Teams: 7-round Swiss, 13 min + 2 sec increment
Blitz Open: 11-round Swiss, 3 min + 2 sec increment
All events apply FIDE regulations and follow Czech national rating systems where applicable.

Group–A (Master): Total 61,000 CZK
- 1st place: 15,000 CZK
- 2nd–10th places: prizes descending to 1,000 CZK
- Cup for the winner
Group-B (Challenger): Total 27,500 CZK
- 1st place: 5,000 CZK
- Category prizes: U16, U18, S60, Female (500–1,000 CZK each)
- The winner earns free entry to Group A in 2026
Group-C (U14 Memorial): Cups and material prizes for U14, U12, and U10 categories
Rapid Open + Teams: Total 8,400 CZK
- Individual prizes: up to 2,500 CZK
- Team classification: Cup for best team (sum of top 3 player scores)
Blitz Tournament: Total 8,400 CZK
- 1st–5th places and U2000, U1800, U1600 categories awarded
Organizers require all prizewinners to attend the closing ceremony to receive awards.
