Prize money is not cumulative. Players receive the higher applicable prize, and if two prizes have the same value, the published order determines priority. Players must attend the prize ceremony in person to receive their prizes.

The II Maratón Blitz Rincón Lleno de Vida uses a 4 minutes + 3 seconds increment time control and runs over 17 rounds. In addition, the tournament follows the Dutch Swiss system in one group and uses VegaChess for pairings.

The initial ranking uses the current FIDE Blitz Elo, then FIDE Standard Elo, and then FADA Elo. Tie-breaks follow this order: number of wins, direct encounter, average performance of opponents, average opponent rating, and median Buchholz. If the top two players finish tied on points, they play an Armageddon game to decide first and second place.

The default time lasts until the player’s flag falls. Draw agreements are not allowed before 20 moves.

Players must report results to an arbiter immediately after each game and before leaving the board. In addition, a player who misses one game becomes inactive and may return only after requesting reactivation in person with a valid explanation. A second unjustified absence leads to expulsion from the tournament.

Players must not strike the clock violently, arrange pieces during the opponent’s time, or agree to a draw before 20 moves. Unsporting conduct can lead to loss of the game and possible expulsion. Participation also implies acceptance of the regulations and any official updates published before the tournament begins.
