The tournament uses a five-round accelerated Swiss system. Each player receives 1 hour 45 minutes for the full game plus a 30-second increment from move one. Furthermore, the event follows the BTO-NRW rules, and the grace period is 30 minutes.

The initial seeding uses TWZ, which takes the higher of a player’s Elo or DWZ. After that, tournament rating performance decides tied places. All players need a valid FIDE ID at the start.
