⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The tournament uses a five-round accelerated Swiss system. Each player receives 1 hour 45 minutes for the full game plus a 30-second increment from move one. Furthermore, the event follows the BTO-NRW rules, and the grace period is 30 minutes.

The initial seeding uses TWZ, which takes the higher of a player’s Elo or DWZ. After that, tournament rating performance decides tied places. All players need a valid FIDE ID at the start. However, players who do not yet have one may request it through the organizer by providing the required personal data. Electronic devices during play lead to immediate disqualification.
