🏆 Tournament Overview

Organizers will host the Asian Individual Chess Championships 2025 from May 6 to May 16, 2025, in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Organizers will host both Open and Women’s sections, bringing together top players from FIDE Zones 3.1 to 3.8. This prestigious event serves as a qualifier for the 2025 FIDE World Cup and the 2025 FIDE Women’s World Cup, offering participants a platform to showcase their skills on an international stage.

• Arrival & Check-in: May 6, 2025
• Rounds 1–9: May 7–15, 2025
• Blitz Tournament & Awards Ceremony: May 15, 2025
• Departure: May 16, 2025

⏳ Time Control

Players will have 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move one.

🔢 Number of Rounds

The tournament will consist of 9 rounds, following the Swiss-system format.

💰 Prize Fund and Qualification

Organizers have allocated a total prize fund of $80,000.

• The top 10 players in the Open section will qualify for the 2025 FIDE World Cup.
• The top 2 players in the Women’s section will qualify for the 2025 FIDE Women’s World Cup.

📝 Registration and Participation

• Eligibility:

  • Each Federation from FIDE Zones 3.1 to 3.8 may register one official player in Open and Women’s sections.
  • Federations may also register additional players rated 2000+ (Open) and 1800+ (Women) based on May 1, 2025 FIDE ratings.

• Deadline: April 6, 2025
• Documents Required:

  • Registration form
  • Digital ID photo
  • Scanned color passport copy

💳 Payment Information

• Registration Fee:

  • $110 per participant or accompanying person

• Entry Fee:

  • $150 for official players
  • $300 for additional players

The tournament will take place at the Danat Al Ain Resort Hotel, Al Ain, UAE, providing world-class hospitality and top-level facilities.

• Accommodation:

  • All participants must stay at Danat Al Ain Resort Hotel or another official hotel.
  • The Organizing Committee will cover accommodation for one official player per federation from May 6 to May 16, 2025.
  • Extra players and accompanying persons must pay via the Organizing Committee in advance.
