The organizers will host the Africa Schools Individual Chess Championships 2025 from May 22 to May 29, 2025, at the Reef Hotel in Mombasa, Kenya. The Africa Schools Chess Championships 2025 will consist of 9 rounds, following the Swiss system format.​

🏆 Prize Fund and Prizes

• Trophies: Awarded to players securing first place in both Open and Girls categories.
• The organizers will award Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals to the top three players in each category.
• Qualification: Winners in each category will earn personal rights to participate in the 2026 World Schools Individual Chess Championships.
• Titles: Titles will be awarded in accordance with FIDE regulations.​

• Eligibility: Players born on or after:

  • Under 7: January 1, 2018
  • Under 9: January 1, 2016
  • Under 11: January 1, 2014
  • Under 13: January 1, 2012
  • Under 15: January 1, 2010
  • Under 17: January 1, 2008

• Categories: Separate championships for Open and Girls categories.
• Registration: Open to all African federations affiliated with FIDE and ACC for the Africa Schools Chess Championships 2025.
• Participants must complete all payments related to board and lodging before May 15, 2025.
