The tournament uses the Swiss system over five rounds. Each player receives 90 minutes for the game plus a 30-second increment from move one. As a result, the event keeps a full classical rhythm while still fitting into one long summer weekend.

Tie-breaks follow this order: Buchholz Total, Buchholz Cut 1, and APRO. In addition, the default forfeit time is 60 minutes, so players should arrive before the scheduled start of each round. The event also applies standard anti-cheating controls, and electronic communication devices are not allowed inside the competition area.
