5th tournament at OŠ Naklo
Kranj’s youth chess cycle continues with the 5th tournament at OŠ Naklo on Friday, 6 February 2026 in Naklo, Slovenia. Designed for primary-school players, the series promotes fair play, competitive spirit, and skills development in a friendly, well-organized setting. Each event runs as a compact evening rapid tournament, ideal for young players and school teams across the Gorenjska region.
Hosted by Društvo (ŠS) Tomo Zupan Kranj, the cycle uses clear rules, brisk rounds, and transparent scoring across the season. Pre-registration is required, FIDE rapid rating is submitted, and medals/cups recognise achievements by categories and overall standings. Schools also compete for a cumulative school cup across the cycle.
