54th National Junior & 39th National Junior Girls
India’s top young chess masters will gather in Jamshedpur for the 54th National Junior (Under-19) & 39th National Junior Girls (Under-19) Chess Championships 2025, organized by the Seraikela-Kharsawan District Chess Association under the aegis of the All Jharkhand Chess Association and the All India Chess Federation (AICF).
The prestigious event will be held from 16 to 24 December 2025 at The Wave International, Jamshedpur, with a total prize fund of ₹10 lakh supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.

90 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move 1.
11 rounds under Swiss System following FIDE Laws of Chess.
Default time: 15 minutes after round start.
Draws: No agreement before 30 moves without arbiter approval.
Tiebreaks: Buchholz Cut-1, Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger, Direct Encounter, No. of Wins (Black Wins prevail if still tied).

🧒 Age Proof
All participants must produce a valid birth certificate (issued by Municipality / Panchayat / Corporation within one year of birth). School certificates will not be accepted.

Four players per category from each AICF-affiliated state.
Top finishers from 2024 National Junior, U-17, and U-15 Championships.
World / Asian youth medalists of 2024 (subject to age).
All GMs/IMs in Open and WGMs/WIMs in Girls eligible (subject to age).
Special entries allowed via State Associations with fee payment.
Only Indian nationals eligible.
👕 Dress Code
Players must wear state uniforms with the state name printed on the back and emblem on the front. Non-compliance will result in disqualification from play.

Free dormitory accommodation for all selected / seeded players and one official manager per state.
Must confirm by 5 December 2025 via state association.
