The team must average under 2200, players may compete in different sections or schedules, and registration closes before both players begin Round 2. Unrated prize limits also apply: USD 150 in Under 1000, USD 250 in Under 1300, USD 350 in Under 1500, USD 500 in Under 1700, and USD 700 in Under 1900. Any remaining balance from a limited prize goes to the next eligible player.

⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The tournament uses a 6-round Swiss system with two schedule choices. First, the regular 3-day schedule follows 40 moves in 80 minutes, then sudden death in 30 minutes, with a 30-second delay. That gives players a full long-play format with enough room for deeper calculation and more serious endgame play.

Meanwhile, the 2-day option accelerates the first half of the tournament. In that schedule, Rounds 1 through 3 use G/35 with a 10-second delay before the event merges into the standard timetable. In addition, players may take up to two half-point byes in any round, although they must commit before Round 3. August official ratings are used, and unofficial or Online Regular ratings are usually applied if a player would otherwise be unrated. The event also notes that players may not enter below USCF Online Regular Rating minus 100 points.
