The 27th HZ University of Applied Sciences Chess Tournament invites chess enthusiasts from around the globe to the sunniest city in the Netherlands, Vlissingen, from 2 to 9 August 2025. Hosted in the spacious Atrium of HZ University, this prestigious event offers players—from club enthusiasts to Grandmasters—a unique opportunity to compete in a single large group, fostering both challenge and camaraderie. With most rounds played in the evening, participants can enjoy daytime leisure activities, making it an ideal blend of competitive chess and seaside relaxation.​

Each player will have 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move starting from move one.​
