The Thailand SEA Games Organizing Committee (THAISOC) is the local organizing committee responsible for planning and delivering the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 2025), hosted by Thailand in December 2025. Working under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Sports Authority of Thailand, and sanctioned by the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF), THAISOC coordinates all aspects of the Games across Bangkok and Chonburi—from venue preparation and logistics to athlete services, ceremonies and broadcasting.
For the Southeast Asian Games — Chess (2025 Edition), THAISOC oversees the chess competitions as part of the official sports programme, in cooperation with regional and continental chess bodies such as the Asian Chess Federation and the ASEAN Chess Confederation. The chess schedule includes multiple formats and variants within the SEA Games framework, bringing together national teams from all 11 SEAGF member countries in a high-profile, multi-sport environment.
Beyond pure competition, the organizing committee’s role is to ensure that athletes, officials and fans experience a well-run, welcoming event that reflects both the sporting spirit of Southeast Asia and Thai hospitality. From centralized coordination at the SEA Games Center in Bangkok to detailed technical handbooks for each sport, THAISOC focuses on consistent standards, safety, fair play and a festival atmosphere across all venues.
