Pafos Chess Club is a dedicated chess club based in the coastal city of Pafos, Cyprus. Founded in the 2010s, it continues a long local tradition of organized chess in the region. Today, the club unites local players, juniors and visiting guests in regular over-the-board activity.

The club is the main organizer of the Pafos International Open Chess Tournament, the biggest chess event in Cyprus. The 4th Pafos International Open Chess Tournament 2026 is a nine-round Swiss with classical time control. Moreover, it attracts strong titled players, ambitious club competitors and chess tourists from many different countries.

In addition, Pafos Chess Club runs rapid events, youth tournaments and local festivals in cooperation with key partners. These include projects with the Cyprus Chess Federation, Pafos Municipality and Neapolis University Pafos. As a result, the club plays an important role in promoting chess and welcoming visitors to Pafos.
