Malakoff et Mat is the chess club of the city of Malakoff, in the Hauts-de-Seine department near Paris, France. It welcomes juniors, adults and seniors in a structured club environment with regular training and team competitions. Over the years, the club has become a recognized force in the Île-de-France chess scene.

The club is the organizer of the Open international d’échecs de Malakoff, held each spring at the Salle des Fêtes Jean Jaurès. This nine-round classical Swiss open is FIDE-rated and attracts strong masters, ambitious club players and local talents. Moreover, clear regulations, single rounds per day and a generous prize fund make the event a fixed date on many players’ calendars.

In addition, Malakoff et Mat runs weekly club sessions, youth training groups and participation in national and regional team leagues.
