Koninklijke Brugse Schaakkring (KBSK) is a chess club in Bruges, West Flanders, Belgium. The club was founded in 1933. It presents itself as the largest chess club in the region and one of the stronger clubs in Belgium.
The club combines league chess, youth work, and tournament organization. It runs youth lessons and tournaments on Saturday mornings, club activity on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons, and several teams in the national interclub competition. KBSK also organizes Brugse Meesters, its flagship international tournament in Bruges.
The public board includes Geert Bailleul as chairman and Dirk Van Rillaer as secretary. Tom Piceu appears publicly as youth coordinator at club level and as tournament director for Brugse Meesters. This gives the organizer a clear and active public structure.
