Honvéd ASE (Honvéd Auróra Sportegyesület) is a multi-sport sports association based in Budapest, Hungary. It supports an active chess community and promotes competitive over-the-board play. Today, Honvéd ASE helps players develop through structured events and consistent standards.
Moreover, Honvéd ASE organizes the V. János Rigó Memorial Tournament series in Balatonlelle, Hungary. In addition, the 2026 edition includes invitational GM and IM round-robins and a FIDE-rated Open. As a result, players can compete in classical chess and pursue norms in a well-defined format.
