Chess Club ALKALOID is a chess club and tournament organizer based in Skopje, North Macedonia. Founded in 1976, the club has built a major reputation in Macedonian and European chess through elite competition, organized events, and structured club development. In addition, it stands out as one of the country’s leading chess organizations and supports both top-level chess and wider community activity.

The club organizes a broad range of chess activities, including FIDE-rated tournament play, classical chess, rapid chess, blitz, youth work, and festival events. It is the organizer of the Open Blitz Chess Tournament in Skopje, a one-day open chess tournament held as part of the club’s wider chess festival program.
