The Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championship 2025 invites the brightest young chess talents from Eastern Asia to compete in a prestigious international tournament. Set in the scenic city of Tagaytay, Philippines, this championship offers players under 20 years old a platform to showcase their skills, earn FIDE titles, and foster international camaraderie. This tournament promises to be an unforgettable experience for all participants.​

  • Format: Separate Open (Boys) and Girls sections
  • Rounds: 9 rounds, Swiss system
  • Time Control: 90 minutes for the entire game, with a 30-second increment per move starting from move one

  • Day 2: Opening Ceremony and Round 1 of the Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championship 2025

Participants have the opportunity to earn direct FIDE titles based on their performance:​

  • Champion: IM/WIM title
  • Second Place: FM/WFM title

📝 Registration & Participation

  • Eligibility: Players under 20 years old from Eastern Asia federations
  • Official Players: Each federation may nominate one official player per category for the Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championship 2025
  • Additional Players: Federations may register additional players
  • Registration Method: Through respective national federations​


💳 Fees & Payment

  • Entry Fee: $75 for official players; $150 for additional players
  • Registration Fee: $110 per participant (includes accreditation and transportation from Ninoy Aquino International Airport to the official hotel and back)
  • Payment Method: Bank transfer (details to be provided in the official invitation)


📍 Venue & Accommodation

  • The organizers will announce the official venue and hotel soon.
  • Accommodation: Organizers will provide full-board accommodation for official players; additional players and accompanying persons will bear their own costs​


✈️ Travel & Visa Information

  • Nearest Airport: Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Manila
  • Transportation: Organizers will arrange transfers between NAIA and the official hotel
  • Visa Requirements: Participants should check with the Philippine embassy or consulate in their country for visa requirements
